Llys Nini Animal Centre is holding a ‘Cat-less Cat Show’, a fun PHOTO competition for cats and their owners!

On July 22nd at the Llys Nini Fun Dog Show

The Photo Categories are:-

A. Prettiest Kitten or Cat - Snaps of your pretty female cats!

B. Handsomest Kitten or Cat – Snaps of your handsome male cats!

C. Cat Naps - Snaps of your friend just enjoying a snooze, in unusual places!

D. Pet Pals - Snaps of your cats with their friends, whatever their species.

E. My Feline Friends - Snaps that show the friendship between an owner and cat!

Application forms will be available on this blog soon

so get snapping ready for the Summer.

It will only cost £1 for each category entered.

Bella

Beautiful Bella came into the Centre when her owner took her to the vets because she was off her food. They did some tests & everything came back fine, but Bella was then taken into our care.
Bella is a nice cat, very much so on her own terms, but she can be quite loving! Bella is now one of our longest stay
cats and we would like to find her a new forever loving home!

Amber came into the Centre via an Inspector.
She is a friendly little cat on her own terms; however, she can be temperamental at times and lets you know when she has had enough fuss. She needs a bit of time to come around and get used to her new surroundings.

Groovy Groove

Groovy Groove came back into the Centre through no fault of her own - the daughter of the family developed an allergy to her. She is a very affectionate cat that loves having a lot of fuss & is vocal in her pen due to her wanting to get your attention. She came in with scarring on her back but we are unsure of how it happened; she has now been treated and is fine & her fur has grown back well.

(At the moment Groovy Groove is getting very stressed in the centre so we are organising a foster home for her.)

She was great will young children.

She is an amazing cat that deserves an amazing home for the rest of her years!

She is quite timid so a nice quiet home is needed for her.

She does have a low grade heart murmur.

Porsha came into the centre as her owner was moving and cannot take her with them. She is a little nervous at present. The owner has said she can be vocal and is very loving and is also an independent cat.

As she is a white cat she will need sun cream on her ears in the summer months. She has also had a dental.

Shrek came into the Centre via an Inspector as his owner was ill. He is a very nice cat that loves a fuss and will make a lovely pet!

Shrek had a cyst on his back which has now been removed.

Abe came into the centre with his litter mates which have now been rehomed. They were all fostered for a while but Abe is still not good with human contact. He is currently now being fostered again, we have found him a lovely kitten that loves attention from cats and dogs but does not like being picked up. He needs someone that is home a lot of the time and who can give him the handling he so needs to improve his confidence with people.

With plenty of time, patience and understanding we are sure Abe will make a fab little man!

This handsome guy came into the Centre as the owners could not cope. We have found him to be a lovely friendly kitten but he might have ongoing weepy eyes; they will need to be monitored closely.

This gorgeous girl is Narla. She came into the Centre as her owner was elderly and no longer able to look after her. She can be a friendly cat but on her own terms and will let you know when she has had enough fuss. She needs to live in a rural area as she has never lived near roads. She will need time and patience to help her come out of her shell. She is also very good at bringing in wildlife!

Ozzy has an eye condition which was a bit infected when he arrived. He was given eye drops, but sadly his weepy eye could be ongoing.

Good Luck not Bad Luck!

Did you know in Great Britain black cats are associated with GOOD LUCK?

As we all know black cats used to be associated with
witches; it is said this is because they could not be seen at night!

We have plenty of gorgeous black cats looking for new homes at Llys Nini just waiting to bring you good luck!

Unfortunately black cats & kittens get overlooked at the Centre & are usually here for longer than many others.

Temporary Foster Placements needed for Cats!

Llys Nini is keen to find people who are able to give a very young, sick or pregnant cat a temporary home until it is well enough to come back into the Llys Nini Animal Centre or go to a new home.

Ideally, you should have a calm, quiet area for the animal which would not be allowed out, and experience of cat ownership. The cat or kitten would be with you while it grows or gets better and then it would be put up for adoption. This way we can rescue and rehome a lot more
needy cats.

Llys Nini will give training, on-going support, provide food and pay for approved vet treatment for all our fostered animals.

Micro-chip your Cat!!!

Get your Cat Micro-Chipped

at Llys Nini Animal Centre!

Having your cat micro-chipped allows them to be tracked back to you if they ever strayed. Each microchip has a unique number which is stored on a national database. A scan of the chip reveals the owner's name and address from the database's records. It is a simple process - you bring your cat up to the centre, no appointment needed, where we can chip them which normally costs £12.50.

If in the future you do change your contact details you would need to update them by contacting the micro-chipping database which you will be given details on.
